For Our Frontline, Homeless, & Affected Families - Here are Meals Made with Lokel Love

There is tremendous power in community. People come together under a unified mission or foundation. Support for each other is drawn intrinsically, with positive energy so contagious that support is drawn extrinsically. As your support in us has grown, our community has grown. Our partnering local businesses feel the energy and support as well, encouraging them to keep at their passions knowing the community has got their back. That’s Lokel Love, and we’re so thankful.

As you have taken care of us, we want to continue taking care of our community. These are uncertain times where what we can do best is keep supporting each other. There are members of our community on the frontlines of the pandemic to keep us safe and health. There are those who are homeless who have limited access to essential resources. There are families and friends who have been impacted with unemployment and other circumstances that were out of our control.

Our Lokel Love partners have come together to help support in the way we know best - providing meal care packages made with Lokel Love. We started Lokel Love to show love to our community, and we were overjoyed by the love and support you’ve given us. In the same spirit, we have come together for the greater good of serving our impacted communities.

With every $8 donation, our partners put together a meal kit to be donated to an impacted member of our community. Donations will continue as long as we receive them.

As of this writing, we’ve given close to 300 meal kits to our community. Healthcare community members at UCLA Harbor, Cedars Sinai, East LA Doctors Hospital, and other local hospitals received A’s BBQ Smash Burgers, Hot Chicken LB sandwiches, Lobsterdamus noodles, Taste of the Pacific bbq plates, and Teofilo coffee - all comfort foods to enjoy in these uncomfortable times. We’ve sent meals to Pauly’s Project, a nonprofit organization serving the homeless community of Skid Row.

We’re thankful for your support, as it has allowed us to further extend our support to our growing community. By Locals, For Locals - the mission is done together.
