The Process: We Break Ground to Build Something New

It’s mixed how we feel right now. We’re ecstatic yet anxious, inspired to share something new with our community yet nervous for pursuing something we’ve never done before.

For those of you who know us, you’ve seen us grow over the years. For those who don’t, we’re happy to start something new with you. Lokels Only started as a podcast called The Lokel Show about 3 years ago from this writing. From the 76 episodes produced, we dove deep in connection with local creatives and entrepreneurs going through obstacles day in and day out to pursue their dreams and bring value to the world.

From podcasts came collaborations alongside these very inspiring people. We’ve produced captivating content, from documentaries to marketing tools. We’ve created marketplaces for local businesses to extend their communities. We’ve shared personal stories of artists, creatives, and businesses that broke past the surface and into their fiery passions. We’ve extended our collective from Los Angeles to San Diego and the Bay Area. We’ve made creative immersive experiences.

Everything that we’ve done together was for one core reason: Building Community.

In collaboration with the daredevils with dreams, our collective also dared to do greater. So we took a leap of faith with the belief that we as a community can grow and strengthen. Community starts with a central foundation and unity in a mission.

So let’s build community by literally, physically building it.

Our motto: By Locals, For Locals - the mission is done together. Lokels Only is a platform to connect our local community with local creatives, artists, entrepreneurs, and businesses. Our space is where you can take your dreams and pursue them. You can showcase your art in an intimate popup gallery. You can start a podcast using the very equipment that built the Lokel Show. You can try a food concept with a kitchen space and all the necessary essentials. Our dream is to help build your dream, together building community.

Our space is a blank canvas for now, but we’re excited for you to add your mark and build community together.

All successes aren’t built overnight. There’s dedication and work behind it. So this blog is a memoir of The Process. Like you, we’re also starting something new and figuring things out. The Process is us in our most vulnerable state with full transparency. We do this to connect with you and grow together. Let’s execute our dreams.
