The past few days for our team have been full of excitement and adventure. As the construction takes off, our brick and mortar is slowly starting to look more and more like the space we envisioned it to be. A home for Lokels Only and for all of you, who share the same creative minds as us and for anyone who has a dream and wants to make it a reality.
We’re not going to lie and say it has all been easy, heck it’s been anything but! As frightening as it has been we have remained positive with the help of our friends and our community. From removing everything that was once there to getting all of our furniture set in place, everyone here has had such an important role and impact to getting this place up and going.
Every inch of this structure is currently being built with a purpose in mind and that purpose is to be the foundation of why we started this in the first place. Why we wanted to give The Lokel Show a platform to not only help us grow but to help everyone who walks through our doors grow as well.
One of the first things that you will notice when walking by on 7th street is what will soon become our rotating kitchen program that will be home to some of the most amazing food that this city has to offer!
As we strip away the blue old paint that was once there, we paint our walls white and just above our entrance door, the words “By Locals, For Locals-The Mission Is Done Together” are put up. What we so proudly say and stand for and right next to it our name, Lokels Only.
This is how through the process, the Lokels Only brick and mortar is coming to be. See you soon!
